Premiere 'Patatje Oorlog' – February 23, 2025

Our latest documentary Patatje Oorlog premiered on February 23 at Kinepolis in Utrecht. The film tells the moving and hopeful story of Franky and Coen, two friends who fry fries in war zones to offer comfort and support to Ukrainian civilians. In addition to their fry missions, they also established Holland House in Dnipro: a former hotel they transformed into a safe haven for refugees from frontline areas. Here, dozens of people find peace, medical care, and a temporary home..

'Five Tangos' in Kyiv’

We are currently editing a remarkable new film: Five Tangos in Kyiv.
This documentary follows the rehearsal and performance of Hans van Manen’s famous choreography, danced by a Ukrainian company in the heart of Kyiv.
An ode to art, resilience, and beauty in times of war.

'While we Watch’

We are currently working on a feature-length documentary commissioned by the (Hartstichting), titled While We Watch (working title). This long-term film project (2023–2025) follows the development of a groundbreaking life-saving wearable — a smartwatch that can detect cardiac arrest and automatically alert emergency services, even when the wearer is alone.

The documentary captures the race between two research consortia, BECA and DETECT, each developing their own version of the device. Along the way, we follow researchers, doctors, and potential users as they navigate setbacks, breakthroughs, and ethical dilemmas.

The full documentary is set to premiere in late 2025, alongside shorter audiovisual updates released throughout the project.

We're proud to help bring visibility to this vital innovation — and to the work the ‘Hartstichting’ does behind the scenes to save lives.
